Blackpool and Fylde Bulldog Club April 9^th 2006

The Blackpool and Fylde Bulldog Club held a 17 Class Open Show at Nantwich Civic Hall, Cheshire.  I was honoured to be asked to judge this show and will long remember the hospitality and warm reception I received.  The entire building was a tribute to the US, with flags and colours.  To be invited to the homeland of our beloved bulldog was a wonderful experience and will be remembered as one of fondest judging assignments.  I had a good entry [85 dogs making 92 entries] with good examples of the breed, especially the remarkable heads.

1 Deary’s Lunar Delta, 6mths/ red white Very nice standard size puppy with good balance and good movement, nice bone and a very pleasing temperament.  Was handled well by the young handler.

2 Carnell’s Camsters William Wallace at Bulltonge, 10 months old, a red and white puppy with good balance and dark eyes with good expression.  Wonderful pigment on the face.

3 Rodgers Esclusham Kwickasaflash of Belushi.

1 Hopkins’s  Bullkins Lumos Maximus , 11 months, red and while.  A very good puppy with exceptional sweep of jaw and and a good head with dark eyes.  Well balanced with good bone.RBPIS

1 Davis’s Rowendale Macintosh, Red and White.  A well balanced dog with good bone, good head with the much desired flat skull.  Very pleasing to the eye.RBDIS

2Lockton Maril Ultimate Max, Red and White.  A good mover, good jaw.  A little longer that the winner of this class.

1 Mabey’s Stone Works Apprentice at Oakprides, A well balanced dog with good movement.  A good head with proper turn of jaw.  Good bone and noticeably good feet. 

2 Edwards Newob George’s Boy.  Very nice standard size dog.  Well balanced with good pigment.  Very good ears.

1 Wales Bulldane Red Dragon, Red and White.  A well balanced dog with good movement.  Good head with well turned jaw.  Nice fronted dog with good feet.

2 Lunts Jacqles The Soothslayer, Red and White.  A standard size dog with proper ears and a good jaw.  A good sound mover with a nice front.

1 Dean’s Bullmarina Peace Maker. Red and White.

 This dog has good length of skull, good ears and dark eyes.  Well boned with good balance with proper movement. 

2 Evison’s Kikuchi Kaliber.  Brindle and While.   Nice standard size with good bone.  Good head.  Moves well.

3 Davies Kismond Pacific Sunset JW

1 Rodgers Belushi DMX, Red with White Markings.   A pleasure to examine.  A balanced dog with great bone and spring of rib.  Very sound moving, good topline.  BD

2 Booth’s White Knight. White w/ Red Marking.  A very good head with correct sweep of jaw and good expression in the eyes.  Well balanced with correct top line and good bone.

1 William’s Belushi Miss Dynamite at Hawkbull, White with Red,.  Very nice bitch with a good head and jaw.  Correct top line and moves well.

2 Dean’s Bullmarina  Miss Dynamite  She has a good length of skull and pretty eyes with good expression.  Has a correct top line.

1 Booth’s Hobtop Sugar Candy, Red and White.  Very pretty and so correct with good bone yet every inch a bitch.   Nice tight feet and moves very well.  Nice jaw with good turn up. BB,BIS,BP

2 Naylor& Dean Fitzbull Lady Luck Red and White.  Very nice bitch with good length of skull, correct top line and moves well.

1 Shirley’s Bullisimo Cotton Candy Brindle and White.  Great balance and top line with good shoulder placement.  Pretty head and jaw with good turn-up.

2 Webster’s Spalfords Polar Bear.  White.  Good head, with nice expression.  She moves well, has a correct top line and very well balanced.

1 Mabey’s Oakprides Too Hot to Handle.  Red and White.  Very nice bitch with balance and good top line.  Good head with good expression.

2 Mabey’s Touch of Spice in Oakprides.  A good bitch with a nice head and great ears.  A sound mover.

2 Johnson’s Trimbull Red Hot Gossip Red and White.  Good length of skull.  Nice ears and very dark eyes.  Well balanced.

2Booth’s Hobtop Brandy Snap Brindle and White.  Very good head with great length of skull.  Good dark eyes.  A well balanced bitch with good bone and nice turn of shoulder and good feet.

3 Cook’s Holbain Rainbow.
