Blackpool and Fylde Bulldog Club Open Show, October 8^th 2006

Held at Aughton Village Hall Ormskirk

As this was my first Breed Club Judging appointment I was very pleased to draw 83 dogs and 86 entries and just over 50% were present .The atmosphere as usual for this club show was happy, relaxed and a family occasion. It included a Puppy Walk and Junior Handling with 9 young enthusiasts of tomorrow taking part.

I was happy to find some quality dogs in my line up many of which I had not seen before from the ringside so I think I had a fresh eye; lots of good tails, some jaws need to be worked at.

Thank you very much for giving me the chance to see your dogs, I enjoyed my day.

Minor Puppy Dog 6[4]

1^st Seals  Sealaville He’s a Rebel   standard sized puppy with excellent front, good breadth of skull, rose ears, attractive dark pigment  correct tail set , moved and handled well

2^nd Seal’s Sealaville  He’s Chezney litter brother of number one, similar in type, longer in leg. Good jaw, ear placement, excellent front moved well .

1^st Seal’s Carozken Charmer Sealaville 7 months old, fawn and white headed, wide nostrils with lovely pigment, correct skull, nice length of neck , good bone , balanced promising ,puppy handled well  Best Dog Puppy & Best Puppy in Show

2^nd Lockwood’s  Xzibit   Davy Denco,11 months old a well balanced substantial dog, correct rose ears, good low set tail ,would have liked a little more neck .

3^rd Johnson’s  Trimbull Yume No Chikara

1^st Seal’s Carozken Red Diesel Sealaville Red and White, Correct Skull well balanced puppy, excellent front and tail ,rose ears particularly good free mover handled well .

2^nd Compton’s Bocton Bolly Billy Boy Red and White  14 months ,correct skull with good layback, tail set good , moved freely.

2^nd Lock ton’s Marlil Ultimate Max  2 yrs Red and White ,good correct skull, ears  and wide nostrils, barrel rib, straight tail ,moved ok .

1^st Mantle’s  Merretbull Legend Lives On for Dawnstar ,impressive white dog with massive bone and substance, blackest of pigment, barrel rib and correct tail placement, moved and handled well .Best Dog, Best In Show

2^nd Pass moor’s Melafella Tyneamite of Uitlander,  Red and white nicely balanced frame, good ears true jaw, needs more weight to look his best.

3^rd Browns Dawnstar Master Dudley at Merretbull.

1^st Wales Bulldane Red Dragon ,red and white dog with tacked on shoulders, brick skull, correct facial proportions ,larger than I usually like but  couldn’t ignore his qualities, moved well .

2^nd Mantles Dawnstar Lucca red and white, good breadth of skull with wide nostrils correct tail set and length, moved well would have liked more shoulder.

3^rd Paull and Martins  Christylee Cool Hand Luke .

1^st Johnson’s Trimbull True Grit Red and White, Well balanced  quality obvious male  ,correct brick Skull, true wide jaw ,nice brisket and barrel rib ,neat feet good tail ,moved well .Reserve Best Dog .

 Veteran Dog or Bitch 4[2]

1^st Wales Trimbull Burlington Bertie ,7 and ½ yrs dog  lovely brick head, good ears, well balanced but sluggish on the move feeling his age .

2^nd Browns Dawnstar Wonderful Wendy at Merretbull 7years,white bitch, nice tail, lovely energetic free mover , a little too low to the ground for me .

 Minor Puppy Bitch  11[3]

1^st Hepworths Annesabull its Mindy, red and white 6 months old ,balanced good rib, correct tail set ,and wide nostrils moved well.  Reserve Best Bitch Puppy

2^nd Provan’s Allgas Aphrodite’s Child, Dark  brindle and white ,good bodied, sound excellent mover ,good brisket and front ,hardest class of the day all 3  could have exchanged places .

3^rd Mulvaney Trimbull Daphne Dea

1^st Carson Pelinina  Precious Ruby at Carsvale  11 months ,red and white, with good skull, good facial proportions ,full ribs and brisket ,moved with a roll. Best Puppy Bitch

2^nd Mantles  Dawnstar Diamonte10 months white femine bitch,good dark wide nostrils, perfect tail, lacked confidence on the move,

3^rd Paull/Westmoreland Gailbulls Borders Rose .

1^st Avison Bocton Bully Little Gem,14 months Red and White feminine bitch with correct skull, good pigment ,barrel rib and pear shaped

2^nd Devonvellis Ocobo Coco 14 months old pleasing femine brindle with white excellent rib and body

3^rd Crellin Biddle Gems Twinkle ,Red and white,12 months ,tacked on shoulders ,well balanced just a little too heavy to see her pear shape

2^nd Lockwood’s Poolbull Real McCoy at Flittermouse,2years old Fawn Brindle, excellent front, rose ears ,sound mover ,preferred the head of 1 but was close.

1^st Passmores  Mellowmood Forget Me Not Red and White typy bitch with good head qualities ,correct ears ,good pigment and wide open nostrils ,good barrel rib ,would like a longer leg for balance.

2^nd Crellin  Danbusters Make Me Love You ,all white lovely pigment, jaw lets her down , pear shaped and correct tail set ,moved well ,

1^st Hepworths Pawsabull Red Hot Pants  2years old red and white ,typy,balanced nothing to dislike, correct head, wide nostrils ,body shapely, handled well and  moved freely. Best Bitch and Reserve Best in Show ,Best Opposite Sex .

2^nd Johnson’s Trimbull Crystal  Ice 19months old Red and White ,unlucky to meet no 1 ,another nice balanced bitch with correct brick  skull, another impressive tail from this Kennel, moved well

3^rd Rudge Mystyle Polly.

1^st Riley Call Me Madam at Rumbletums,Red and White, nice head ,nostrils wide , pigment good, correct  front, barrel rib ,excellent topline.

1^st Hodgekinsons Biddle Red Hot Mercedes. Red and White, judged her as a puppy has matured into a very good standard sized bitch,impressive breadth of skull, correct tailset,one of the best movers on the day .

2^nd Johnson’s Red Hot Gossip ,Red and White another good bitch from this kennel ,nice balance, good mover, neat feet ,very close decision …
